Luštica Bay by taxi

The new marina town on the outer side of the Luštica peninsula is quiet by design, which is wonderful until you want to go somewhere. Tivat Airport is close, the beaches are close, Kotor and Budva are an evening away; a taxi is how all of it connects. This page covers the airport ride, where cars stop in the resort, the beaches, and how to get back at night.

How do I get from Tivat Airport to Luštica Bay?

Book a MonteGO taxi with Luštica Bay, your hotel or your residence as the destination and Tivat Airport as the pickup; schedule it for your landing time if you want the driver waiting at arrivals. The road crosses the peninsula through Radovići and comes down to the marina village. Drivers drop you at the hotel entrance or the village car park by the marina. Book the return in the app or schedule it, since few taxis are based in the resort.

  • Short airport ride across the peninsula
  • Drop-off at the hotel door or the marina village car park
  • Plavi Horizonti and Almara beaches a few minutes away
  • Return scheduled: few cars are based in Luštica Bay

How to book this ride

1

Name the hotel or residence

Luštica Bay is spread along the shore; 'The Chedi', 'marina village' or the name of your residence puts the car at the right door.

2

Confirm and cross the peninsula

A licensed driver accepts, the app shows the car and plate, and the road runs over the ridge past Radovići and down to the sea.

3

Schedule the ride out

For dinner in Tivat or a day in Kotor, book the outbound ride and schedule the return before you leave. Pay the driver directly.

The road in and where cars stop

Luštica Bay is reached by one road from the Tivat side: out past the airport, through the village of Radovići on the spine of the peninsula, and down to the resort on the open-sea side. It is a good road and a short ride, and there is no other way in by land. The resort itself is a series of neighbourhoods along the shore, the marina village with its restaurants and shops, the hotel above it, and residences spread along the hillside, connected by internal roads and paths.

A MonteGO driver brings you to the hotel entrance, to a residence's door, or to the car park at the marina village, from where the waterfront is a short walk. The resort has its own access control at busy times; taxis with a named destination are waved through. Put the building name in the ride note and the driver finds it.

From Tivat Airport to Luštica Bay

It is a short transfer and an easy one: Tivat Airport sits on the same side of the bay as the peninsula road, so there is no tunnel and no town centre to cross. Schedule the pickup for your landing time and the driver is at the single arrivals exit when you walk out. Luštica guests often travel with more luggage than average, and a group or a family should choose the larger vehicle option when booking so everything arrives in one car.

The reverse ride for departures is the one to schedule the evening before; the airport is close, but the resort is quiet in the early morning and a scheduled driver is the difference between a calm departure and a wait.

Beaches and the rest of the peninsula

The resort has its own beach clubs, and the peninsula around it has the ones locals use. Plavi Horizonti, the sandy, shallow family beach in a pine-lined bay, is a few minutes back towards Radovići; Almara and the coves further along the outer coast are reached by narrow lanes; Rose and the Blue Cave are on the far tip, best by boat. All of these are short taxi rides from the resort with the return booked in the app, and a good deal simpler than parking a car at Plavi Horizonti in August.

Evenings in Tivat, Kotor and Budva

Luštica Bay is calm at night, and many guests head out: to Porto Montenegro and Tivat's waterfront for dinner, to Kotor's Old Town for the evening inside the walls, or to Budva for the nightlife. Tivat is a short ride back over the peninsula; Kotor adds the tunnel; Budva is the coast road beyond. The important part is the return: few cars are based in Luštica Bay, so book the ride back in the app while you are still at the table, or schedule it for a fixed time when you book the outbound ride. Drivers who work Tivat know the resort and its gates.

Other ways to get around from Luštica Bay

Honest comparison. The resort runs shuttles within its own grounds and to some of its beaches; ask at reception. There is no useful public bus to the resort. A rental car is the common choice for long stays, and the peninsula lanes are quiet, but for evenings in Kotor or Budva it means the parking problem at the other end and no wine with dinner. For the airport, evenings out and the day trips, a licensed taxi booked in the app is the simpler option.

Common questions

Book a MonteGO taxi with your hotel or residence as the destination, scheduled for your landing time. The driver meets you at the arrivals exit and takes the peninsula road through Radovići down to the resort. Choose the larger vehicle for a group with luggage.

Yes. Taxis with a named destination are admitted through the resort's access control and drop you at the hotel, a residence or the marina village car park. Put the building name in the ride note.

Schedule the return when you book the outbound ride, or request it in the app while you are still at the restaurant. Few cars are based in the resort, so a scheduled pickup avoids waiting for a driver to cross the peninsula.

No useful public bus reaches the resort. The resort's own shuttles cover its grounds and some beaches; for Tivat, the airport, Kotor and Budva a taxi is the practical option.

Yes, both are short rides from the resort. Book the ride out and request the return in the app when you are ready; in August this is far simpler than finding parking at the beach.

Directly to the driver at the end of the ride, in cash or by card on the driver's terminal. There is no charge in the app and no booking fee.
