Where these numbers come from
Every figure on this page is a range taken from completed MonteGO rides in 2026: the middle half of what passengers actually paid on that route, night rides, airport pickups and luggage included. Half of all rides fall inside the range, a quarter below it, a quarter above. Routes with too few rides to be reliable are left out rather than estimated.
The ranges are refreshed from ride data and dated; the month is printed under every table. They are a planning tool. The exact fare for your ride depends on distance, time of day and demand, and the app shows it before you confirm — that number, not this page, is the one you pay.
Taxi prices inside the cities
Short rides are metered by distance and time, with the estimate shown before you book. Podgorica is the cheapest city to move around in; on the coast the towns are hillier, the streets narrower and the summer traffic heavier, which is what the higher ranges reflect.

Airport transfer prices
Tivat Airport (TIV) sits right on the coast, so most of its transfers are short and cheap. Podgorica Airport (TGD) is an hour or more from the beaches, and those runs are priced as offers: you name a price, nearby drivers respond, and the agreed figure is fixed before the car moves. The ranges below include the pickup at arrivals.

Intercity and coastal transfers
Between towns the offer system applies to longer runs and the meter to shorter hops along the coast. A few well-travelled pairs without their own route page are listed as well.

What moves a fare up or down
Vehicle class
Standard is the range shown. Comfort runs roughly 15–25% higher on short rides and about the same on long offer-priced transfers. Van (up to 8 seats) is roughly double, and cheaper per person than two cars.
Season
July and August sit at the top of the ranges on the coast, spring and autumn towards the bottom. Airport runs barely move with the season.
Traffic and waiting
On metered rides the time component grows in heavy traffic, and waiting beyond a free allowance is charged per minute. Offer-priced transfers stay at the agreed figure.
Airport and port pickups
Some pickup zones carry a small fixed fee. Where it applies it is inside the ranges above, not on top of them.
How offer pricing works on long transfers
For intercity rides the app does not run a meter. You enter the trip, propose a price, and drivers nearby accept or counter within minutes. Once you pick a driver, that figure is the fare — it does not change with traffic, a longer road or a late arrival.
The ranges on this page are the practical guide to what offers get accepted. Propose inside the range and you will normally have a driver quickly; well below it and the offer can sit unanswered in August.
Paying less without the haggling
Get the number before the car moves
In the app the fare is on screen before you confirm. At a rank or with a tout on a cruise day, agree the price out loud first — the difference is often the largest saving of the trip.
Book the return as a scheduled ride
Late-night and early-morning rides are where a rank quotes freely. A scheduled pickup at the agreed range removes that.
Share a van
Four or more people with luggage from TGD to the coast pay less per head in one van than in two standard cars.
Fly into the right airport
For Kotor, Tivat or Budva, a TIV transfer costs a fraction of the TGD one. Check the two airport tables above before booking flights.
Common questions
Inside a town, €5–8 in Podgorica and typically €9–16 on the coast. Airport transfers run from €23–28 (Podgorica Airport to the city) to €80–100 (Podgorica Airport to Budva). All figures are typical ranges from real 2026 rides; the app shows your exact fare before you confirm.
Typically €35–45 for a standard car, about 15 minutes through the tunnel. Comfort runs €42–53, a van €72–82.
Typically €65–75 for a standard car, roughly 30 minutes. Bečići is a little further at €75–85.
Typically €23–28 for the 12 km ride into Podgorica. To the coast it is an offer-priced transfer: Budva €80–100, Kotor €90–120, Bar €60–75.
Town rides on the coast sit at the top of their ranges in July and August, roughly 5–15% above spring and autumn. Airport transfers barely change. The bigger summer risk is an unmetered quote at a rank, which the app avoids.
Offer-priced transfers: yes, the agreed figure is fixed. Metered town rides: the estimate shown before you confirm, plus a time-based difference only if the trip runs noticeably longer than estimated in heavy traffic.
