Tivat Airport to Bečići by taxi

Tivat's terminal is small and the taxi pickup is directly outside arrivals. When you confirm the ride the driver heads there and the app gives you the car, colour and plate, so there is nothing to look for except the car it describes. Package holidays to Bečići often land in the evening wave, when several flights arrive together; the driver may be a couple of minutes out and you can watch the car approach on the map.

The road from the airport to Bečići

The taxi climbs out of the Tivat plain through the Grbalj villages, comes down past Jaz beach to the coast road and runs along Budva's seafront edge. Bečići sits just beyond Budva behind a headland; the road passes through a short tunnel and comes out above the long beach with the hotel strip laid out below. The last part is the resort road, Jadranski put, with hotel entrances on both sides.

In high season the Budva stretch and the tunnel approach are the slow part, particularly on Saturday changeover days and in the evening. Drivers know when to use the upper road to bypass the seafront. Outside July and August the ride is relaxed and the views over Budva bay on the descent are the best part.

Families, luggage and late arrivals

Bečići is a family resort and this route sees plenty of pushchairs, big cases and groups. A standard car takes two large suitcases; for more, or for five or more people, choose the larger vehicle when booking. Child seats are not standard in Montenegrin taxis; write it in the ride note and drivers who carry one will pick up the request.

Other ways to get to Bečići

Package holidays usually come with a coach transfer that stops at several hotels; it is included, but it is also the slowest way to arrive when your hotel is the last drop. Public buses do not serve the airport. Pre-booked private transfers meet you with a sign at a price fixed in advance. A rental car is a burden in Bečići in summer, where hotel parking is limited and the promenade is pedestrian.
