Where to be picked up in Budva

The Old Town and the promenade are car-free, so the pickup is at the edge. From MonteGO rides on this route the busiest points are the bus stop on Mediteranska right by the Old Town walls, TQ Plaza in the centre, the corner of XXII ulica, Jadranski put on the town's edge, and Budva bus station. At night the Mediteranska stop and the marina side of the walls are where most people get in. Put the exact spot in the booking, and be at the road: in summer a driver cannot pause long on Mediteranska.

The road between Budva and Bečići

Bečići is just east of Budva behind a headland. The taxi follows the coast road out of the town centre, passes through the short tunnel under the headland and comes out above the long beach with the hotels laid out along Jadranski put. It is a short ride, but in summer evenings and on changeover Saturdays the Budva end crawls; drivers know when to use the upper road. At night it is quick and empty.

The alternative on foot is the tunnel promenade for pedestrians along the sea, pleasant by day; at night, with heels or after a few drinks, the taxi wins.

The ride home at night

Walking, bus or taxi

By day the pedestrian tunnel along the sea is a lovely walk between the two. Local buses run along the coast road but stop early and fill up. A taxi booked in the app is the answer at night, with luggage, or when it is simply too hot to walk.
