Pickup: the gate nearest you, Kotor bus station, the Riva or Park Slobode. Destination: Porto Montenegro, a hotel or the Tivat seafront. Confirm.

Where to be picked up in Kotor
Kotor's walled town is pedestrian, so the pickup is at a gate or nearby. From MonteGO rides on this route the usual points are the Sea Gate by the port, the River Gate by the market, the Riva along the waterfront, Park Slobode just outside the walls, the Kamelija shopping centre on the road out, and Kotor bus station. Put the exact spot in the booking; on a cruise day the Sea Gate side is crowded and the River Gate or Park Slobode is easier for a car.
The road from Kotor to Tivat
The taxi leaves Kotor towards Škaljari, climbs to the mouth of the Vrmac tunnel and comes out on the Tivat side with the open bay ahead. The road runs down past the airport turn-off and into Tivat along the shore, ending at the marina or wherever you are staying. It is a short, easy ride; in August the last stretch along Tivat's waterfront can slow as people cross to the beach and the marina, but only for minutes.
The alternative is the old road over the top of the Vrmac ridge, longer and winding with views over both bays; some visitors ask for it on the way back when there is no hurry. Drivers use it when the tunnel is busy.

Bus or taxi
Local buses run between Kotor bus station and Tivat through the tunnel, cheaply, but they leave from the station rather than the gates, stop early in the evening and fill in summer. A rental car for this hop means finding parking at both ends, which in summer is the hard part. A taxi booked in the app takes you gate to gate and comes back when you call it.
Tivat to Kotor
Set the pickup to the marina entrance, your hotel forecourt or the road behind the promenade and step out when the app shows the car close. The ride back through the tunnel is quick; on cruise days the last stretch into Kotor by the port is slow from late morning, so ask for the River Gate or your street in Dobrota rather than the Sea Gate.
