# MonteGO — Taxi & Transfer App for Montenegro

## About
MonteGO is a mobile taxi and transfer app for Montenegro, operated by INTELLIZE LLC. Passengers book licensed local drivers for city rides, airport transfers and fixed-price intercity trips across the whole country. The fare is shown before you book and there is no haggling; you pay the driver directly at the end of the ride in cash or by card. MonteGO does not process payments inside the app, so nothing is ever charged without your knowledge.

MonteGO works differently from a metered street taxi:
- City rides show an upfront estimated fare before you confirm.
- Intercity transfers use an offer system: the passenger names a price, nearby drivers respond within minutes, and the passenger chooses one by rating and vehicle. The agreed price is fixed.
- Every ride is tracked live on the map, with an SOS button and a shareable live-tracking link.
- In-app chat translates messages between passenger and driver instantly, in 18 languages.

The app is available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). The website is available in 8 languages (English, Srpski, Türkçe, Русский, Deutsch, Українська, Español, Français). Non-English pages use a locale prefix, e.g. https://montego.app/tr/ or https://montego.app/fr/.

## Airports
Montenegro has two international airports, both covered by MonteGO:
- Podgorica Airport (TGD): about 12 km / ~15 minutes from the capital, Podgorica. Closest famous destination is Virpazar (Skadar Lake), ~18 km. Serves the capital, the south (Bar, Ulcinj) and the mountains (Kolašin).
- Tivat Airport (TIV): the coastal gateway, minutes from Tivat, Kotor (~10 km) and Budva (~20 km). Serves the Bay of Kotor and the central coast.

For airport pickups, schedule the ride for your landing time and a licensed driver waits at arrivals with the fare agreed in advance. Drivers track the flight, so a delay does not leave you stranded.

## How pricing works
MonteGO does not set fixed government prices. Instead:
- For a city taxi, the app shows an estimated fare before you confirm, based on distance and time. On taxi rides the only possible adjustment is heavy traffic: if the trip runs much longer than estimated, a small time-based difference may be added at the end. A typical city ride costs about €3–12.
- For an intercity transfer, you name your own price. Nearby drivers respond within minutes and you pick the driver you like; the agreed price is fixed for the whole trip, with no surprises.
- You always pay the driver directly at the end, in cash or by card. The Van/group option costs more than the Standard car; Comfort/limo is the premium tier.
